Wanting to create something cheap and unique to advertise their annual BBQ, The Partners decided to take the event’s name (Designer Barbeque) almost literally. They torched some popular designer items, including a damaged iMac, and photographed the end results. It’s striking and wonderfully clever…so striking and clever, in fact, that they won a D&AD pencil for their efforts.
(Yes, they ended up grilling that pencil, too. )

Roman Opałka was a French-born Polish painter who painted numbers. In 1965 he began painting a process of counting – from one to infinity. Starting in the top left-hand corner of the canvas and finishing in the bottom right-hand corner, the tiny numbers were painted in horizontal rows. As of July 2004, he had reached 5.5 million.
